I had a pro form for almost two years (prior model) I paid half what I paid for the 850. It lasted about a year and a half. I used about 1 / 2 hours a day, five days a week, when he broke I decided to spend a bit more and get the 850, after reading the reviews I was a little reluctant: things like little shaky, and loudly raised flags, but I thought, "Probably not as bad" Big Mistake, YOUR WORST! This is 5 stars but I had to fiqure myself to the foot off the center to prevent excessive fluctuations. Poor design on the feet, but it works very well if the center of the foot is removed. I bought this elliptical that helps me to keep my exercise goals in the cold weather comes. I was accustomed to using a good machine at my gym office and was looking for something similar, but could not afford to spend much money. So far the machine has been good , and arm it was not a problem as seen in some of the reviews. My only complaint is that is swaying a bit while I'm using. This does not interfere with my training and beyond that the quality is good for the money.

Some assembly required - well worth the effort!
This unit is excellent for the money. The construction is rugged enough for someone like me, who said that "Supersize Me" a few times too often. No stumbles under load, and offers very quiet and smooth operation. The space-saving feature is a big plus for me - I have a small house, and folds easily in a small footprint - width 26 "x 40" folded, bent and 66. "front wheels make it possible for a person moves. The instrument panel works well - Basic, functional controls of resistance and a few decent training programs (I get rather amused by the marketing features that makes some of these machines boast a zillion programs, often fluff or useless). Assembly took me four hours, working alone - instructions were the most clearly written I've seen in a long time. If you've ever changed the oil in your car, you will find no problems here. I was able to enter my house with the help of a wheelbarrow 2 wheel drive - two people (or opening in the Open box) may be required.
