Diverse and dynamic
San Francisco's geography makes it one of the United States Most cities only. The city lies between the ocean, the mountains of Sierra Nevada, redwood forests and the desert of California. Getting to and from the airport:
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is located 15 miles south of the city. The best way to reach downtown is by BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), which operates a direct service of fast trains. To get to the SFO in Embarcadero (financial district), for example, costs about U.S. $ 8.10. BART Station can be found in the input / output level International Terminal.

The best way to browse through San Francisco is the city's system Muni public transportation, which operates about 100 bus lines, tram car system and the city of cable. Tickets cost U.S. $ 2.00 and Free tickets are available for transport in most Muni lines, which can be used to connect two trips within 90 minutes (this excludes BART and the car cable).
If you're ready for a challenge of hills, why not cycle? San Francisco is the bicycle friendly and many residents use the bicycle as a means main transport.
The Embarcadero, Marina Green, and Golden Gate Park are popular areas by bicycle and motorbike hire many companies, such as Saddles Bike and Roll hot.
Taxis can be marked along the downtown streets or make a reservation by phone. Credit cards are generally accepted, but check before entering the cabin. Tipping is customary and drivers expect 10 to 15 percent.

No trip to San Francisco would be complete without a visit to the monument of the city - the Golden Gate Bridge. This includes the Golden Gate suspension bridge, the opening of the San Francisco Bay in the Pacific Ocean and extends 1.7 miles long. You can cross the bridge by car, foot or bicycle and enjoy the magnificent landscape.
At the heart of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is the de Young Museum. The historic art museum exhibits valuable collections of American art of the 17 until the early 20th century, and native art of the Americas, Africa and the Pacific. Adult entry fees are $ 10 U.S., but it is worth noting that the first Tuesday of each month is free.
Go to the docks and sidewalks of Fisherman's Wharf where you can glimpse the sea lions sun residents crowded into pontoons. Visit California Academy of Sciences - Complete with an aquarium, a planetarium, a natural history museum, and a 4-story rainforest all under one roof. It is an architectural achievement with hundreds of pieces and almost 40 000 live animals. General admission tickets that cost U.S. adult $ 29.95.
Where to eat:
With generations of immigrants from Asia and Europe and settled in San Francisco, dining out is one of the great pleasures of the city. You can enjoy some great classics in Cantonese San Francisco's Chinatown, which was established in the 1850s. Head to North Beach Italian district and reach the city. If your sushi you seek, then visit Nihonmachi where you'll find a Japanese community, a small but dynamic - even the local McDonald's has a bit of a Japanese.

Pacific Catch offers seafood with local ingredients in California, which are add flavors of Asia, Latin America and Hawaii. San Francisco is a paradise for shopaholics, with numerous shopping centers, districts and malls. Although buying in San Francisco can be a costly, savvy shoppers will find possibilities for all budgets.
Mural in the Mission District
Union Square is a popular shopping haven where you can find stores like Macy's, Saks, Neiman Marcus, and designer boutiques. Street performers can keep you entertained, and a visit to theaters nearby.
If this is urban chic or funky clothing you're looking for, then head to Haight Street. The streets are dotted with Victorian houses, anarchist bookstores and drill halls, and some stores still retain an air of hippie culture of the 60 counter. Another great place for non-conventional is the Mission District. Here you can find offbeat boutiques and funky ethnic clothing.
Fancy something with an Asian twist? Then walk red dragon through the gates and enter Chinatown. Complete with ornamental lampposts and roofs of pagoda, Chinatown offers everything from scented teas vivid silks and statues of Buddha the mahogany furniture.
