Travel to French Polynesia, Getting Around and climate
You can get to French Polynesia reasonably easily from most of the world. Apparently inaccessible, but that is simply the distance and flight duration, especially if you come from Europe or the eastern U.S. coast.
Airlines such Qantas, Air New Zealand, Air France, Hawaii air, all flying to Papeete to Faa Airport.
In terms of getting around the island of French Polynesia dispersed, there are two ways and that is by boat or air.
Air Tahiti flight from Papeete to 42 airstrips in French Polynesia.
There are a number of boats between the islands that are regularly between major island groups, and this is an incredible way to get around this part of the South Pacific. There are large catamarans that run between Tahiti and Moorea, but of course the pressures of modern life and the probability that your vacation will be two weeks only, then flying is the most likely option for most people.
Moreover, French Polynesia is probably once in a lifetime holiday, and you have been flying for about 24 hours if you come from Europe, at least another month would not be enough to see and do everything! However, it would take the opportunity to travel around a little boat.
On land in Tahiti and the more developed islands there is a local bus service is cheap and cheerful pretty reliable. A more expensive option is the taxis and car hire can scooters and bicycles to explore the island you are. Finally you can hire 4x4 to explore the interior.
The big question of any holiday destination is the weather, which is, and where better to go?
French Polynesia has a tropical climate, hot during the twelve months of the year. The weather is sunny and pleasant. You must realize that as the islands of French Polynesia are south of Ecuador, the seasons are reversed compared to Europe.
There are effectively two seasons, the first of November to May when the weather is warm and somewhat humid, with average daily temperatures around 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Is now that most of the rainfall occurs, but it's still sunny, and there is a refreshing breeze. From June to October is drier and cooler, with an average temperature daily around 82 degrees. The average sea temperature is in the lower 80s and rarely gets lower than 70 degrees at night.
You can take a lot of time flight, but if ever a place was worth the effort being FPO
