Visit Maldon
Known for its famous Sea Salt, Maldon is a city that mixes old and new in an interesting and unique. Conveniently only one trip relatively short from the hustle and bustle of our capital city, flaked and surroundings gives you the opportunity to get close to nature in its many open green areas the public.
Visit Maldon and find different activities and areas to entertain children. Opened in 2006 and is free to use the very popular children Splash Park. The park is open all Summer Splash, weather permitting of course. Having taken my own children's recently, I can confirm that we had a very good and not wanted to leave.
Also located in the Park Promenade is a large ornamental lake, amphitheater, galleon game and the strong, the runway, the navigation model, crabbing lake, three sand pits, playground, children's maze, skateboard and BMX area, a scenic river walk, gardens, football fields and cricket, tennis and a variety of shops selling food and drinks.
There is plenty of room for remuneration and areas exhibition spaces, including reservation of seats for disabled guests, if traveling by car and three public toilets available, which also have disabled facilities.
For adults who visit Maldon there are plenty of scenic walks and opportunities to relax when not fishing, or why bring your bike with you and explore the area by bicycle, while. From the pier could take a river cruise, or if your sea legs, maybe a cruise along the coast. You may only want to see the Thames sailing barges go by while enjoying a drink with family or friends at Hythe Pier.
In the city There are a lot of tea shops, cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants to choose from when you need to take a break from the shops and interesting attractions Maldon has to offer.
If you stay more than a day you can find many B & B, guest houses and hotels around the city to choose from. The family had Osea Leisure Park, located in the town on the outskirts of Maldon Heybridge, gives the opportunity to own your own caravan or house and shows all the benefits that come with vacation home ownership.
With a friendly atmosphere and excellent facilities to relax and unwind in a safe environment for a weekend getaway or a family holiday.
There are many events taking place in Maldon, like the ever popular mud race, Carnival Maldon, Maldon Beer Festival and the Maldon Festival of Arts to name a few. The mud run is a sponsored event, organized by the Lions and Rotary Club of Maldon. Competitors can choose their own charity for half the money they raise with the other half goes to charities chosen by the local Lions and Rotary Club Maldon. Competitors from all over the world are welcome and in the past have had competitors from Germany, Finland, New Zealand and the USA.
One recent case was the Classic Motor Show Maldon. Due to return in July 2010, the 2009 show featured a variety of pristine classic cars and commercial and military vehicles and even included the Ford Gran Torino and the General Lee (Dodge Charger) television program Starsky & Hutch and the Dukes of Hazard.
A historic city full of maritime history, surrounded by areas of natural beauty. Be sure to visit Maldon sometime soon and see why so many people to return to this fascinating city.
