Child Handicap

No Child Left Behind
The No Child Left Behind "(NCLBA) is possibly the law of education important in years. He was placed in its original place by the Bush administration in early 2002. The NCLBA is a very rigorous review of the educational system of our entire nation, asking all test statistics to take basic rules. The first of four main parts of the NCLBA now requires students to take seven basic standards tests between K-12 instead of the above 4. For the first time schools are required to report their scores on the basic standards tests divided into four subgroups, students financially disadvantaged racial and ethnic groups, students with disabilities and limited English proficient students. States must also publish the progress in increasing performance of students, and the difference in scores for teachers in high poverty areas compared to low-poverty areas. The second part of the NCLBA is responsibility. The students must reach proficiency in reading and math by 2014 Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). The third part requires that schools make AYP each year, if a school does not do so for 3 consecutive years must pay out of pocket for after-school tutoring, summer school, and various other programs. If a school does not make AYP for four consecutive years, the state is required to restructure the school. The final part of the NCLBA is requiring all teachers now become "highly qualified" which means that you must have a degree in their teaching area and must be duly licensed by the state.
The overall objective of the NCLBA is very basic and very important - to improve the education of our young people to suffer. This is very important because the future of our nation is held in the hands of our youth and in recent years the United States has lagged behind in education compared to many other countries. The NCLBA also tries to bridge the gap between the top and bottom students, including those with disabilities, learning difficulties, and lack of knowledge in the English language.
Personally I think the NCLBA has good intentions but usually does a good job. I think that too many changes that require sufficient time or money. I have a problem with schools having to be the same for the top and bottom students. I think everyone should have a fair chance in education for insurance. I also believe that students who are "gifted" and students who put so much effort and a strong effort in the school must receive more benefits that children not to stay in school and not try. When I was in high school in Minnesota, my AP statistics teacher showed us a shocking study. The study showed that for every $ 100 a student with a disability receives in public education, the environment and "gifted" / AP student receives 10 cents. I think it's ridiculous. Students who become our doctors, lawyers and engineers must obtain additional funding, if anything. These students will those who go on to impact our society most. I'm not saying we should cut back costs on special education programs, but that part of the NCLBA should be reconsidered. I think it would be much more beneficial to our nation as a whole bright students who work hard a chance. It is a loss for provide opportunities for students to download and waste them. In general we will have to wait and see how the NCLBA work, programs like this take years before determine how well they work.
