Getting started on a career as a BMX bicycle racer
Start a career in BMX bike racing can be a fun way to earn a living. Costs are lower, with some effort and dedication you could be on its way within days. The first step would necessarily join the association of cyclists BMX. Going pro means you need to register with the regulatory body of the sport in order to be legal. It would also have to look at the American Bicycle Association (ABA) and the National Bicycle League (NBL). The cost for membership is about $ 45, including a few bonus items such as special discounts and tickets.
Your next step would be to select the BMX bike for your company. There are several models available, made for racing. Consider whether you will receive a "class" type bike, with a twenty inch wheel, or a cruiser, with a wheel of twenty-four inches. Explore your options and not be afraid to ask your retailer at you need. You will end up paying not less than two hundred dollars for a decent bike. Once you've bought your bike, it is imperative that you acquire safety equipment necessary. Among the items on the list should include a helmet with chin straps, shirt, pants (jeans will do), gloves, pads and safety bar, knee and elbow pads.
Now that you have your bike with all the necessary safety equipment, it's time to find a training course. To find the dirt track nearest you, you could ask the local BMX bicycle, or visit ababmx. Examine your budget, and check if they are practicing for your account, or if it is doing riding lessons. Remember there are charges involved for the use of the track, and some times of day are cheaper than others, so you may also want to check.
It is certainly a good idea to have a couple of hours of practice before deciding to enter your first race. Practice makes way for the experience (fall), and make you more comfortable when it comes time to face opponents. Attend some events and see how professionals are doing, observe their technique and style. Ask around for the best cycling practices, in order to develop his own style. Make a few friends in the search for the same goals as you are, that can provide useful information. Run with your friends locally, and start with small obstacles to work on your trick performance.
All games and BMX competitions are the same. If you're more into performing acrobatics, there are competitions prepared for this special category. Racing is a completely different story. The first couple of races will probably require you register for certain items, such as a registration number. Ask the administrator in the race to get help. You would be recorded along with other competitors with similar skill level and age group. Races the more you earn, the more difficult the competition will be in the best of luck!
