3 Simple Tips for the repair of garden hose
Your garden hose is undoubtedly one of the most used around your home but it is also one of the most abused. How many times have meant increased or left over there? I've even known people who used their hose as a rope to secure items on a trailer. Well, this kind of abuse, leaks, kinks and damage accessories are bound to happen sooner or later.
Here is where some simple repair garden hose can be very practical. Here's a quick look at how to easily repair the hose and prevent escaping.
1. Find the leak
Obviously, finding the source of the leak is in the garden hose is the first step. The easiest way to do this is to attach a nozzle and turn on the water. Find out where to find the leak and mark the same with a marker or pen.
2. Get repair kit
You can find a garden hose repair kit at most any lawn and garden department of major retailers. Without doubt a place like Home Depot will have one for you.
3. Hose Repair
Cut the pieces of hose which are leaking water. Then, using the connectors in your repair kit can put the hose back together again.
If the hose is only one little tiny leak that may be able to wrap tape around it for a quick fix, but in most cases this will not work.
Is the hose beyond the stage of the repair? If so, do not throw it away. You can cut and use the pieces to tie small trees or for other uses in the garage too.
