Movie Review - Meet Joe Black

With a star-studded cast including Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins and Claire Forlani, Meet Joe Black is a film about death and the value of life. The film is about three hours and fifteen minutes long, is quite slow at times, but has an excellent plot. Shooting is performed in the centers of large companies in New York, where Anthony Hopkins plays a character named Bill Parrish is a billion dollar CEO of a company news.

The story begins in Bill Parrish luxurious apartment in New York, where he wakes up at night with pain in the chest and arm. He goes to the bathroom where the spray of water in his face and wonders what is happening in the meantime listen to a voice that says simply: "Yes." Bill does not acknowledge that he may be having heart problems and continue with your daily life as chairman of the board of News Corporation.

Bill then we see the two daughters enter the scene. Susan, beloved daughter of Bill, stop for breakfast before leaving for the hospital where she is a resident in internal medicine. Bill's other daughter, Allison, appears to have no work and is busy planning a birthday party on goods sixtieth Bill Bill. She is planning a special event including archers fire big band ensembles, known singers, and politicians of all kinds. Bill makes it clear that he could care less about the game and several times in the film Allison does upset by her lack of interest.

The mode of work of Susan, she stops by a cafe near the hospital where she meets a nameless young man played Brad Pitt. The boy strikes up a conversation with Susan from new in town, and end up taking a coffee together and telling each other how they get along. They unfortunately walk and do not receive the other contact. While the young man is crossing a busy intersection on his way to work, turns around as he thought of Susan and is killed when he is beaten by two cars. This part of the film is very well done and will certainly give the viewer by surprise.

Meanwhile, Bill is thinking of selling your company to a tycoon media. He feels uncomfortable with the idea of selling his work to a man whose intentions are not clear, and he becomes even more uncomfortable when he realizes that he's dying. While in his office the next day, the voice that makes listening to fall knees and clutch his chest while sweating at the mercy of the voice. The voice says "yes", has been hearing is the answer to a question from Bill, "Am I dying?"

That night, Bill Parrish, his two daughters, Allison Fifteen husband and Susan's boyfriend, Drew meet for dinner at home Bill. Drew's right hand and is believed Bill when Bill is gone one day, Drew will be responsible for Parrish Communications. Dinner is just beginning when Bill hears the voice again, saying that he is at the front door and wants to be let in. Cleaning Bill leaves the man behind the voice at the home of Bill and Bill met in his library. This part of the film is full of tension and discomfort, and the viewer realizes that as powerful as Bill Parrish is in the real world, there is still a higher power ruler of his life.

Parish to voice conversations, which is standing behind a bookcase in his large library, and the voice tells him to calm down and listen you have to say. Over time, the voice reveals itself as the young Susan liked the coffee shop, but with a completely different personality. Not fully obvious at this point, but the death "has taken over the body of the girl in the coffee shop to enter the life of Bill Parrish. Parrish is actually having problems heart and is expected to die in the near future, and "Death" has taken the body of the girl for you to learn about the life of a man who lives life the maximum. "Death" wants to go on holiday to help people die and want to see what life is like one of the best human beings alive.

Bill Parrish asks what to do about "death" to be in his life, and the young man said that Bill stays home, having dinner with his family, and will work with him every day. Basically, what I want to do everything makes Bill can see how a unique human life. It seems obvious at the dinner that the young do not understand how human beings live as he is overwhelmed by the servants bringing him food and the comments of the Parrish family does with it. Bill should introduce the young, nameless, their family, and comes with a name Joe Black, a fitting name for "Death."

When Susan arrives at the dinner and realizes that the young of the cafeteria has returned to her life, she is flown, and so is her boyfriend, Drew. Black Joe realizes that he knew the girl in the cafe who is now dead, and that is not the same person I was waiting. She becomes frustrated and does not understand why he is acting differently, but Joe manages to hide his true identity. Drew does comment that you do not like Susan and Joe look and breaks his relationship with Susan. Susan Joe says he does not like how she talked to drew a rude way, and both end up kissing in the front room of Bill.

At this point, Bill realizes that Susan is falling for Joe Black and warns her daughter to Joe not what she thinks he is. Susan listens but does not seem to care, while making love to several days later near Joe Bill indoor pool. bill not only pose great problems of his daughter falling in love with death, but has now recanted his willingness to sell his company. He tells his board, Joe by his side, his company is not for sale. Parrish gives no specific reason for his decision and not leave it open for discussion. Drew, is suspected of Joe at this point, and Joe and Drew start a bad relationship with others. Drew does not know that Joe is an all-knowing being, and his wit is never up to Joe's personality and knowledge everything in the world.

Drew becomes so suspicious of Bill Parrish and its dependence on Joe that he holds a secret meeting with the board. husband Allison, Quince, who is also on the board, reveals that the law has left some of their decisions to Joe and that is all in your mind. Knowing that the law is that a strange decision by him, the Board voted to give Bill a staggering amount of money to resign after his sixtieth birthday party. Bill has no choice in the matter and leaves the boardroom completely distraught and saddened.

The story now focuses on luxurious birthday party for Bill. All of his closest friends are there in their suits and dresses and spirits are high. However, Bill has had a discussion with Joe and now knows that his life will end after the party. Joe's argument was in love with Susan. Bill says that Joe is an attempt to be a terrible person and not Joe Susan wants to take them to the dark side. Joe Bill says that if you have heart and is really a decent person, Joe going to reveal to Susan that he really is and see what you think. Joe out of the office where we assume Bill Bill is finishing his will and will, and goes directly to Susan. She is frightened by what she reveals to Joe and Joe begins to see that Susan has been selfish and must be kept alive.

Latest hours of Bill's life is sad but very well spent. He is forced on stage in his own party to make a speech and tells his audience that has a special memory with everyone there. The speech is short and very sad since Bill is too preoccupied to give a speech in motion. After the intervention, which returns kisses Allison and Susan and her home office. He asks his son-in-law, Quince, which brought together more than invited to a talk last minute. Drew is flattered by the invitation, but when it comes to the office, go to Bill and Joe and he knows that it has entered into a bad situation. Bill curses at him and says he knows Drew Drew was planning an alliance secret with the man buys the company from Bill. Drew was going to break Bill company piece by piece and ruin his life's work to make himself and the board really rich. Bill Drew gives the option of resigning and never showing his face again, or hiring lawyers and forcing Drew to go to jail. Drew wisely decides resign and start to wonder how Bill and Joe knew a lot about their immoral plans.

The last part of the film takes the viewer through all emotions. First, Joe tells Drew that is from the IRS and had a bad feeling that Drew was to create a bad business. Through research, says Joe figured out that Drew plans, so Drew decided to resign and avoid prison. He realized that the battle of wits and intelligence between him and Joe was over and Drew had been beaten severely by an IRS agent. With Bill's company is safe and back on the board of directors of hand ", he feels comfortable enough to return to the party and say farewell.

Joe says goodbye to Susan and tells her to always love you. Susan and Joe both become very emotional and Joe away. Bill Allison kisses and then find Susan and asks for a dance. They have a beautiful time together in the last moments of Bill, and Bill tells him that whatever happens, do not worry. Susan seems to understand that his father may die and begins to mourn even more. She goes to the spectacle of fireworks and Bill leaves to catch his breath.

Bill Parrish bridge and climbs a grassy hill to meet Joe and get the dying process in motion. Bill has said farewell to two of the most important people in your life, Allison and Susanna, and now I can die in peace. Bill says to Joe that he admires how Susan was a kind of love Joe Bill had always dreamed of. He saw that Susan was really love and happy and happy Bill. Joe tells Bill that he admired Bill as a person and is grateful for your time on Earth. They walk casually over the hill in the dark where Bill dies, but Joe does not. Susan sees the two most important men in your life walking down the hill and starts up the hill itself. She saw Joe come back up the hill and start walking toward her. Susan is not sure what is happening, but when Joe goes to her, is the youngest of the coffee shop is back. Joe ended up taking the lives of Bill, but also gave new life to the body of the young man took in the beginning of the film. To show that is reasonable and actually has a good heart, Joe feels that taking Susan happy for the rest of his life would be a fair free to take the life of Bill. The film ends with Susan and the man in the cafeteria walking hand in hand toward the burst of fireworks that are drastically over the Parrish property.

The plot of this film is incredibly deep and interesting. The idea that "death" comes to Earth to experience life in the body of the young is truly unique. Martin Brest does a fantastic job directing big budget film with a cast of stars. The film will make you laugh with innocent antics of Joe, mourn the end, when everyone must say goodbye as Bill goes to his death, and even angry at Drew for trying to destroy Bill corporation one billion dollars. This movement is a must, and because of the complexity history and emotional story, is rated a 5 on 5.
