Uniform (gymnastics)

Athletes competing or training artistic gymnastics wear specific. The standard of dress for international competition is governed by the FIG and the Code of Points.

Many national teams theme clubs and other accessories to their competitive gymnasts, including matching gym bags, sneakers, shirts and casual workout pants. Gymnasts can use these items when they appear together in the opening ceremonies of competition or other functions.

For international competitions, gymnasts always be wear uniforms provided to them by national gymnastics federation. These garments typically employ the country's national colors, however, no restrictions on design. In some cases, gymnasts wear a more traditional national grids for the team competition, and allowed some degree of personal choice in the all-around and competing in the event finals.Gymnasts national or local events tend to bring the team home mesh gymnastics club. Before 1997, many gymnasts, both men and women wore earrings and necklaces of religious or sentimental significance while competing. All jewelry is now banned by the Code of Points. Gymnasts with holes in the ears may wear studs or post earrings. Other piercings, if visible, are generally removed for competition.Tattoos, while not strictly prohibited by the Code of Points, usually concealed during competition by tape or bandages.
