Blood and Lace Black (Italian: Sei donne per l'assassin) is a 1964 Italian film horror thriller directed by Mario Bava. Bava co-wrote the screenplay with Giuseppe Barilla and Marcello Fondato. The film stars Cameron Mitchell and Eva Bartok. The story focuses on the harassment and brutal murder of several models of fashion with very little clothing, committed by a masked murderer in a desperate attempt to get a log-revealing scandals.
The film is generally considered one of the earliest and most influential of all the giallo, and served as a style template for the slasher films of the 1980 Ody count. Plot
Isabela (Francesca Ungaro), one of the many beautiful models used in a fashion house, is walking through the grounds leading to the establishment of a night when attacked and killed by a violent offender with a white mask features. Police Inspector Sylvester (Thomas Reiner) is assigned to investigate the murder and interviews that Max Marian (Mitchell), the manager who co-runs the room with his mistress, the recently widowed Countess Cristina Como (Bartok). Max attests that people he can provide any information that may assist the inspector, but as the investigation is all the fashion house various sins, including corruption, abortions, racketeering and drug addiction are beginning to come to light. It is revealed that Elizabeth had kept a diary detailing these vices, and suddenly nearly all employees are nervous.
