Love or hate the Mini Is Here To Stay

Who would have thought that such a mini little car would take off the way it has? It's like a child in car, has about as much space as you need parts to fit your handbag and looks like a car that needs dragging backwards just to get some welly behind him.

However, the humble Mini has got beyond the wildest dreams of Cooper and has become a real icon in the automotive world. Personally, I aspired to a mini bright metal flake pink as a teenager but thankfully kicked common sense before I could pay my own car.

Today, the Mini has a fan club in the world itself. Organizations abound for Mini owners to meet and compare storage capacity, or whatever they do. There's even a stretch Mini available for the occasions. Were the times when you want to get a normal week shopping on the back, or take both boys out at once, for a treat?

I guess the only thing that has Mini attracts people is their uniqueness. Yes, there are other small cars on the market but seem silly in comparison with the "mono classic Mini. With their individual painting and looks chubby baby, how can a comparison be made?

Some big celebrities have been proud owners of Mini. The Beatles all owned a Mini each, Steve McQueen and Clint Eastwood also got their frames, awkward at the wheel of one of these cars and have been joined by Paul Newman, Charlotte Church and Sharon Osborne. Not physically, of course, because that would be foolish and downright impossible, but as owners of Mini.

Even the publicity of the Mini has been completely different to what we accustomed to the average product. A series of small clips of film and television and have been a series of mini action-packed movies are played over the web in your ad campaign.

Therefore, making it as large as the Americans seem to think it is, it seems that the Mini has really found a home in the U.S.. Although manufacturers of mini stay largely with the original design, some subtle changes have been made in recent years. It is now slightly larger than used to be and also comes in a convertible. It is also more powerful than it was originally with the Mini Cooper S to reach 172 horsepower. Other options include be able to choose the heated seats, cruise control, air conditioning, sports suspension and top-end stereo system.

Mini Cars are a bit like Marmite - which is either love them or hate them. There is no middle of the road for these vehicles. But however you feel about them are here to stay and taking the lead on the road all small cars should look.
