Buying Guide Mountain Bike

Many people find buying a mountain bike frustrating and slow. In this article you learn some good tips that will help you buy a mountain bike.

1. Know your price range

You should know how much money are willing to spend on a new bike. Do not buy from big stores like Wal-Mart. You will get a much better service when you buy at your local bike shop.

2. Determine Your Style

You should know what type of riding you will be enjoying to the fullest. Mountain bikes are designed for different driving styles and types of terrain. Think about things such as cross country racing, mountain cruising, gentle walks or down. So you have to choose a bike fits your own style and try not to fall under the influence of the sales staff.

3. hard tail or full suspension

A hard tail, not including rear suspension is lightweight and can pedal more efficiently. However, full suspension mountain bike offers more comfort and better control. To take the right decision, think about your price range, riding style and type of land that will be riding the majority.

4. Compare only components major

Do not try to compare all mountain bike components. It is impossible, because there are many combinations available. What you should do is to find a small number of components that are most important. Make sure the rest fall within your price range.

5. Buy at the Fall and winter

The prices of mountain bikes often fluctuate during the year. The main shopping season for these bikes is the Spring and Summer when they are more expensive. Wait for the fall and winter, when prices fall. You can save a few hundred dollars.

6. Find a good dealer

Finding a good bike dealer should be your priority. Not finding the best prices. Locate a dealer who will not sell you an expensive one great bike. Also, try to find a dealer who has a repair shop.

7. Research
