In these times of high fuel costs and the environment people are looking for ways to save money and help the planet. One way is to convert to electric vehicles such as bicycles, scooters, mopeds and mobility scooters. They are finding that there are many advantages over fuel-powered vehicles, mainly the cost, environmental factors and parking just to name a few. Another advantage is the sheer fun of riding these things as they zip through traffic, taking short cuts, all with due care, of course.
While writing these articles only thing that struck me is the difference this kind of vehicles can make to the lives of people, especially if a car is not an option. Let's look at the people who have some physical problem that limits their mobility, with an electric bike can earn a tremendous amount of independence in their lives to do those ordinary day to day things we take for granted. It also means you do not have to rely on others to do these things for them.
As the popularity of these vehicles for growth in the options they have now is huge and they are so profitable that can be of a type for different uses, as well as backup if there is a fault in a machine. What I mean is that you can have a folding machine for convenience and storage or a machine Full blow that will take you almost anywhere with ease. Batteries and chargers also are much more sophisticated that allows for less monitoring, together with better power storage. For the bikes there are after market kits that can be attached to a normal machine without going to the expense of buying a special machine.
It pays to check your local rules and regulations of your area of licensing and insurance. You will find in most areas you will not need special permission and in some cases, children as young as 12 years old may have these machines on the road. Moreover, in many cases, your current car home and / or health insurance will cover the majority of mishaps.
