Knowing the Blood and Survival on car - brakes, steering, battery and liquid cooling radiator

Now has called the attention of another basic car, maybe it's time to take a look at the essential liquid that are literally life giving blood of your car.

1. Brake fluid "is a type of hydraulic fluid used in hydraulic brake applications on your car, motorcycles and trucks. This type of fluid is used to transfer force under pressure from their point of origin between the hydraulic lines of the braking mechanism near the wheels.

The majority of today's brake fluids are glycol-ether compounds, but several types of mineral oil and silicone compounds also in the market. This type of liquid must meet strict requirements set by organizations such as the SAE and the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) - hence its ratings on the labels such as SAE or DOT 3 and 4 compliance.

As a general rule, the brake fluid should always be replenished when levels in the decrease of their containers each unit. The fluid level in the fall as master cyclinder liners, pads and shoes wear and tweezers from the largest to compensate. The brake fluid level can also be low due to leakage, which can lead to loss of hydraulic pressure and more dangerous loss of braking.

One way to observe that its system of government is about to have a problem or that your power steering fluid is low is when you turn the wheel and whining noise is heard. Have your car checked when this is occurring to prevent serious damage to your steering system.

Note: There are products on the market containing the combined properties of energy management and automatic transmission fluid (ATF). Use any of these products to save and be more protected.

3. Battery Fluid, "The liquid electrolyte inside the battery cells. If you are using the regular battery and requires no maintenance, then you are required to fill the battery cells occasionally with the liquid electrolyte.

Standard Battery for cars is 12V and usually has 6 individual cells within it. To fill, simply remove the vent caps that can be or are in the top or side of the battery. Check and fill the fluid inside.

Note: There are some brands of maintenance-free batteries on the market today that can run on two power supplies, which means they also have vent caps for the electrolyte fluid if their food source depleted. Although this type of battery is not cheap, it would be best for you to use it.

4. Radiator coolant is a mixture of antifreeze and water designed to protect the radiator and cooling system all year. Using one will protect your engine from overheating. Most of refrigerant products on the market today come with different additives that can help you most rust and other forms of corrosion, lubricate or increase cooling efficiency of your cooling system.

Simply pour the contents of the tank of the radiator coolant. Add water to the level set and go.

For maintenance, it is very important for you to drain and clean your coolant once a year (depending on product recommendations) and replaced by a new one.

Note: Never mix different types of coolant together as this can cause damage or a reduction of the cooling system of your car. Before switching to another brand, sure to drain and clean your cooling system of the former.
Behold the reservoirs of these fluids are in constant levels and refilled when they are not sufficient. Properly maintained will help ensure your safety and prolong the life of your car.
