If you are a fisherman freshwater or saltwater, you've probably asked the question: "Am I using the fishing reel is not it?" Because let's face it - if you're not catching fish, something has to give! And the boys all know that's not us! It is without doubt the fishing rod, fishing reels, weather - basically anything but us!
Well, I have good news: Shimano has a fishing reel for virtually every type of fishing, if you is a fresh or saltwater fisherman. Let me walk through a few different types of Shimano reels. We'll go through these in 5 different positions, and when we are done you should have a good idea if you're using the Shimano reel that best suits your style of fishing.
It is important to understand that Shimano Reels are grouped into five main categories:
• Shimano
• low profile baitcasting Shimano Reels
• Round Shimano reels baitcasting fishing
• Shimano Offshore Spinning Reels
• traditional spinning reels Shimano
Today we Shimano Conventional line fishing reels. Shimano Conventional reels are an excellent choice for saltwater fishing on the high seas, and fishing at sea.
If you did not know (And not ashamed boys), sea fishing is fishing on the high seas far from shore, usually in a boat. offshore fishing saltwater includes the following types (but not limited to) fishing: bottom fishing, fishing, deep sea fishing, and many more types of fishing.
Blue water fishing is exactly what it sounds like - fishing at sea! Fishing for cod, shark and red snapper with a large conventional Shimano reel.
For offshore fishing, the Shimano Torsa is an excellent choice. This stellar fishing reel was awarded the best choice for Bluewater fishing as well as "best in show" and "best in class" Sporfishing by the American Association.
If you are a fisherman, do not miss the TEKOTA Shimano. This great Shimano Reel has an integrated line counter for you know exactly how deep you are fishing. The Shimano TEKOTA comes in four models, the TEKOTA Shimano 300, Shimano TEKOTA 500, TEKOTA Shimano 600 and Shimano TEKOTA 800.
It Marlin / Tuna fishing your sport? The Shimano Tyrons is absolutely stellar fishing reel for all heavy duty applications saltwater fishing. The next Tyrons in many models and some two-speed options.
Finally, thorium is a big Shimano reel, lightweight and durable in construction, that work well in all the application live bait or bottom water fishing. The versatile Shimano thorium comes in 5 different models: Shimano 14 thorium, thorium Shimano 16 thorium Shimano 20, Shimano 30 thorium, and thorium Shimano 50. With many different options, will have a hard time settling on a single thorium!
