A look at the various types of silver brooches
When we look at a necklace or bracelet, one of the first things you'll probably notice is the flow design. Believe it or not, a pin is more than just a functional device used to fasten your jewelry. In fact, it is a very important part of overall design and can be a very important focal point. This article attempts to explain the different types of sterling silver clasps and how each differs from the others. Why is this important? Simply because a pin is in many ways the most important find in your jewelry, as it remains firmly in place.
Spring-Ring closure. This type of hook is one of the most common, and is typically used for light and medium weight jewelry accessories. A spring-ring clasp is round in design and features with a small council, which controls the opening and closing of the spring.
Nail jewelry. This type of closure is also one of the more traditional styles found in bracelets and necklaces, but usually is reserved for heavier styles that may need a little more resistance. On one side, a snap clip lobster give the appearance of a teardrop shape, and is controlled by a tip that opens and closes the spring in the clasp. Because the lobster claw closure reserves for heavier styles, also finding is more expensive and adds value to the piece.
Toggle closure. A form of silver is a narrow strip of silver sterling, which is typically designed in the form of a bar that is pushed through a loop law to act as a holder for your necklace or bracelet. The hook is a search engine which is expensive and attractive, which makes it an important focal point for all jewelry accessory. Unlike the lobster claw or spring-ring closure, a snap switch is not controlled by a spring. On the other hand, is reached when the bar is pushed through the ring.
Insert Slide closure. This type of closure is designed exactly as it sounds, since it offers a way similar to a box that is hollow inside. The convenience of a quick and easy way to ensure jewelry while not having to fuss with a traditional brooch, which can be difficult if you have long fingernails, arthritic hands or some other mobility problems, is a feature attractive to many accessories. A magnetic closure is based on a strong internal magnet, which works to pull both ends of the clasp. In most cases, a magnetic closure is used for light to medium weight pieces of jewelry, which do not generate excessive tension on the magnet.
