Flexible chimney liner
The easiest and most cost effective way to repair a chimney liner is coated flexible chimney.
When aging or chimneys are not properly maintained can deteriorate and create hazardous conditions. tiles and cracked masonry can allow the deterioration of hazardous gases or even fire to enter your home.
To remedy these situations there are two things you can do. The entire existing chimney can be demolished and rebuilt, or you can outrun the chimney with a stainless steel or aluminum flexible liner insert the fireplace.
What is a flexible flue liner?
A flexible flue liner is just that, flexible, as opposed stiffness. The wall thickness varies from 0.005 inch to 0.019 inch All stainless steel liners have some form of ribbed construction and are supplied in continuous lengths. Flexible coatings allow the top and bottom support, as any expansion due to heating is absorbed by liners flexible ribs. The chimney liner is the ultimate solution to the problems that afflict most of the chimneys. Modern stainless steel provides airtight and water tight barrier that seals in gases and creosote. Underwriters Laboratory found that flexible systems excel fire safety standards and can even withstand a fire in the fireplace and still maintain structural integrity.
This system will be installed in all new masonry chimneys or existing which are used to natural draft venting of gas, liquid and solid fuel fired residential type appliances and masonry fireplaces. Although extreme care has been taken to make the system as secure as possible operation, proper installation and maintenance should be followed.
Are all of chimney liners itself?
More flexible liners stainless steel are the same from manufacturer to manufacturer. They may vary slightly in composition steel, some leaving aside the Titanium.
