The Skinny on Alloy Wheels
Often see and hear car advertisements with all kinds of luxury features - a major problem to be wheels alloy. But what are they and how do they differ from "normal" wheels? To keep your alloy wheels in good condition and maximize its life, the constant maintenance is necessary. An accumulation of dirt and dust of the road can make alloys prone to galvanic corrosion cleaning is usually a must if you want to remain intact.
Maintaining its alloy wheels
• Before mounting the alloys, cover with a few layers of protection of car polish.
• Wash your tires regularly with soap, hot water and a soft sponge. Anything severe, such as tampons or heavy duty acid cleaners can damage the surface.
• Always rinse your alloys clean water and low pressure.
• Avoid taking your car to a car wash. If you do, be sure to advise the staff use abrasive cleaners. Also let them know that should only be Use a soft cloth or sponge to wipe the wheels down.
