very well
worked perfectly on my roof rack Thule criterion. took five minutes to install two of them, one that locks the rack to the roof and blocking the arm that holds the bike in place. They look very easy to learn, but at least give me some piece of mind when I have to leave my car unattended.

It works!
When everything I've read the instructions, called my sister went home. We all parts of the boxes, read the instructions, followed them and I have one in my car Hullivator. We tested the kayak, which is the same as mine, and it worked.
I took the top off until I'm going to put the boat.
It is a great "shoulder protector."

great work and good wear resistance
Six I have these in my rack system and has put in place, so many seasons of wear throughout the year. Do not waste white space "shift" key that comes with them or you have difficulty removing the cylinder if you change your team. (You can always push on the swing past with a screwdriver to remove if you already have access to inside the lock.)

Overpackers Rejoice!
He owned a Thule roof rack years and when attached to our grid Jeep existing ceiling. However, we sold the jeep last summer and were disappointed to learn that our new car roof rack does not come with the crossbars. We bought the bars Thule cross, foot pack and locks and loaded up our car for the Jersey Shore. Worked like a charm. Installation was easy, the biggest problem was moving your feet in tandom get everything, even (the existing bar is curved to contour the car). In short, my husband did not work long in the installation and any complaints was minimal (if so) for us is a success story! On our return from vacation, I was wondering if the locks were really necessary given by the Thule was weighted with the baggage, but better safe than sorry and it was nice not having to worry about one more thing that could go wrong! It is worth the money. "

Locks to protect your base system
What else to say - Thule not provided as part of the system. They are sold as supplements for obvious reasons of making money.
If you are putting money into your database system expensive, obviously there will be fear of being robbed and be motivated enough or fearful to buy the locks.
So I bought the locks and had to use very little pressure and the rides of your hand to fit.
I bet that after an exhausting struggle and intelligent (if not mechanically inclined) to install the whole system, no one would be willing to remove rack systems, the only time I see them taking them off is when I have to dispose off.

It is what it says, is installed the way it says and does which is designed to do.

Useful, but is it safe? just
Insert lock cores easily into any Thule rack and can be moved between devices if you have multiple. They are "better than nothing" and is a key impediment to any rack.
That said, I think it is very safe. I feel like a thief resources defeat them very quickly - or simply tearing the main out, or maintenance the complete set of keys.
I still buy them again, but certainly not go so far as leaving my bike on the rack, say, a car park overnight.
