Choosing the Right Type of Flashlight
A flashlight, also called a torch is a portable device used for illumination and usually has cells battery for power. A flashlight usually consists of a small electric bulb, a compartment for batteries which power the bulb, a switch for bulb and a parabolic reflector to focus the light. The battery compartment also acts as a handle for holding the flashlight.
Despite the flashlight is a very simple design, is a relatively new invention. It came into existence after the incandescent light bulb and the dry cell was invented.
The name "flashlight" has a humorous background. In the early days of the dry cell, the power of a dry cell was very limited. To save which download quickly, the flash was operated intermittently and only long enough to see the environment, hence the name "flashlight."

LED lamps consume very little power compared to conventional LED light bulb: s do not produce as much heat as the light bulb. These lamps usually have a metal body to dissipate heat by conduction from LED: s do not dissipate heat through beam of light such as light bulbs do.
One type of projector has a flashlight on a helmet so that hands are free. is a type of underwater lamp especially used for illumination of objects under the water and is water resistant. rifle or pistol lights are special flashlights used for illumination of the target.
Flashlights are fairly inexpensive and available in attractive designs. The price ranges from a few dollars to a couple of hundred dollars.
