James Cotton, had put up a sign on Ness Avenue, inform motorists of a radar trap in a nearby school. Shortly after wards, police officers approached and warned that she would be charged with obstruction to justice. Winnipeg lawyer Jay Prober said he doubted whether a count of obstruction of justice would stand in the court of cotton, as he was trying to prevent people breaking the law. A spokesman for Winnipeg police said if cotton filed a complaint against the official investigation.
What I do not think can understand why on earth would a police officer mistake someone for holding a sign saying "slow down." Is not that main problem to be solved by photo radar? The fact that these officers reacted as they did, obviously, means photo radar is not here to solve traffic problems, only to generate income. Most studies conducted after a certain period of time have noticed increase in road accidents with the radar picture, regardless of the speed of drivers hit the brakes just to be sure of avoiding the ticket photo radar-like scam.
Not only are the police and arrests defective a problem, but the placement of these radar cameras is illegal. The creation of fake construction sites Photo radar only to generate more revenue. It's amazing that this is happening in our country, considering that I never had the opportunity to vote outside these cameras invading. City officials continue to say that this will end, but it seems to keep coming around the city.
The biggest problem with photo radar are the companies that own and operate it are making millions because a technical problem. There are laws to protect us in this situation, and the fact that these Camera companies operate as a private investigator (and gathering the evidence for civil trials), and none of these companies are licensed as a private investigator, is against the law in most states. These companies are illegal. BREAKING THE LAW. How is it possible to continue to take piece of our paycheck?
There are a lot other ways to reduce red light and photo speed radar with a manufacturing defect are included yellow light times, add a range of clearance of all cells, or do traffic lights more visible. Instead, we are told that these cameras are here for security, and to shorten the yellow light times to catch more motorists. Just it seems wrong to falsify safety of the people to get more cash.
