Harnessing the power of your subconscious mind-Part II
"If you accept a limiting belief, will then become true for you." - Louise L. There
"People are eager to improve their circumstances, but want to improve, therefore, remain bound." - James Allen
In Part I of this series we began our exploration of the mind subconscous and gave a brief glimpse of what neuroscientists are learning about the ultimate potential of the human mind. In this second installment, we will examine how beliefs are etched in the subconscious and how it may affect who and what stays.
The vulnerability of the subconscious mind The subconscious mind plays a powerful role in the development of our perception of reality. However, it is extremely vulnerable to external influences. This is especially true when we are young.
You may have heard before that the first five six years of a child's life are most influential in the development of his personality, but have you stopped to question why?
The reason is because it is at this point that the subconscious mind is very sensitive and influenced by everything it finds. It has been without a basis of argument for distinguishing truth from illusion, reality from fiction, good from evil, empowering beliefs beliefs disabling.
Since the subconscious has no ability to distinguish between a truth and a lie at such a young age, impressionable, you have to accept everything that is said as something real and valid.
>>> If I told you 're stupid ... internalizes the subconscious.
>>> If you say that Santa Claus is real .... You think (I hope not to take to lose for you!)
>>> If you say there are monsters that is private ... I bet it will be very scared at night!
At least until the subconscious gathers enough evidence to make these beliefs are false or inaccurate.
Because of his great suggestibility during these early years, their values and beliefs are essentially formed by their parents or those around him more. In fact, in these early years is almost a fusion or blending of your mom and dad beliefs, attitudes and values ... fear, eh?
The target = "_blank" subconscious mind> is also very susceptible to repetition. The more times you experience a situation or he says something, but it accepts to be true.
For example, if a child is repeatedly told: "No, you can not do that" or "you're so bad" or anything like that, he or she can grow low confidence or low self-esteem.
Why? Because trust is a belief in inner selves and the powers and skills of one, while self-esteem is the belief that you are a good person and deserving of success, happiness and fulfillment.
The repeated statements became negative for the child in his belief deep base themselves. They have embedded below the level of consciousness, hence the term subconscious or unconscious beliefs.
Is you starting to realize how your subconscious mind can have a huge impact on your ability to live a full and happy life?
Let me give an example from my own life, and probably of any hardgainer ectomorph or life too. This example may illustrate the repetition can affect your unconscious beliefs.
Negative and limiting beliefs subconscious development of the subconscious mind is not limited to those first few years. It is constantly recording everything you are, think, believe, hear, feel, learn, experience and are subjected to throughout his life. EVERYTHING!
The first five years are the most influential in the development their core beliefs and personality in general.
However, all of his childhood and adolescence also have a considerable impact on their values and beliefs about life, about yourself, your skills and your sense of self-worthiness. It is these years that shape their beliefs and to determine who will ultimately become.
However, it is wonderful to know that with the right attitude, tools, experience and mentality can reprogram the subconscious mind and change even or assimilation of a new more desirable personality.
And that's a beautiful thing, because some of you are very pious wacked out! LOL ... AAAAHHH not cry Lil guy ... you know I I was not talking about you!
"El Flaco de mí"
Okay, back to my example. Now most people in the United States does not sound like a problem or negative beliefs at all! A son of a bitch "luck" is what most people would probably call. "Stop whining, you're so lucky! You get to eat whatever you want." True, but that does not mean you should!
However, despite all that, many men and women finds ectomorphic racing fast metabolism and genetics hardgainer be just that ... a problem. The dream of a fat man is the nightmare of a disservice. Yes, I just made that up, so I do not have it against me!
If you happen to be a weak or small, think back to when you I was young. How many times have you called thin or implied that you were? Did you internalize this as a positive or a negative? "It makes you feel good or bad herself?
When I was a child I was never really involved in school sports or athletics. I was more of the "starving artist" type =)
Since I am an ectomorph, had a naturally high metabolism (like many of you.) Moreover, like most people in America North, my nutrition was not optimal. So, yes I was skinny.
People and classmates started calling me skinny, I said I was skinny, saying he had to eat more because I was so thin. Bag of Bones ... You have heard it all before, so do not go into details atrocious.
There is, to say these comments repeated influenced my subconscious mind and reinforced the limiting belief that I was a thin person. So it became even more conscious of being thin.
I would wear long sleeves and pants to hide the fact that it was weak, mainly to avoid people says. It became a part of my identity, I thin. I think this had a negative effect on my confidence level as well.
Now reality was that I was skinny, but since many people repeatedly said that to me was deeply rooted in my subconscious mind. Being thin has become a part of my own image.
So much so that even at the age of 18 years, after I started eating tons of food, lifting weights and doing everything possible to become in a larger, more muscular person ... that the subconscious belief was still there.
Therefore, even after I gained thirty pounds muscle still felt weak and was thinking of myself as skinny.
Actually, I had gone from skinny to normal or average weight and was not skinny again, but the same "thin me" belief would be for me Throughout my twenties ... even sabotaging my efforts to move from an average weight of the constitution of a champion.
Sometimes it feels impossible to gain any more muscle even though I was training, eating, and thinking I was doing everything I could. I was not. There were certain fundamental principles of life and training that I was missing. When I looked in the mirror I would realize how thin it was and I still thought it was genetic that prevents me from moving forward.
"Waaa ... I am a hardgainer!" Ferruggia As Jason would say.
Instead to look in the mirror and say, "Wow, I'm getting stronger and more muscular every day", I saw the skinny poor me who could never gain weight no matter what he did. And since that is what he saw and believed ... that's what continued to arrive.
Changing mindsets
Knowing what I know now, I've been working very effectively to the elimination of old beliefs, disqualifying and its replacement by more enriching my body allows me to have the next level.
In other words, I created a new image of myself as a muscle in my mind and replaced the old "skinny me" version myself.
In accordance with our hardware / software analogy of Part I, I formatted my computer-brain by removing software programs old and install a new improved version 2.0 ... Brandon, if you will!
Your mind is a computer, after all, and in fact is the most powerful supercomputer on Earth, to this point. A real team or a robot can beat out in the coming decades, but we have to wait and see.
By simply changing my language to imagine and visualize the body I want every day (in the right way), I am reprogramming my subconscious mind to accept the new self-image and my new reality.
From my subconscious mind controls my automatic behavior and impulses, this will make me act and think that eventually lead me to a more muscular body in the real world. Instead of repeating my past mistakes for the next 50 years, I will reach my goals much fast.
I want to stress that this is a fact ... nonfiction. Athletes and Olympic athletes have been successfully display their capabilities to increase athletics for more than a few decades now quite impressive results. Do not take my word, do some research on their own.
Change Your Mind, change your body is "thin me" is just a story, simplistic example of a subconscious belief and how to overcome limitations. It is not only an event or situation that creates and defines their beliefs and values. It's all together.
There may be more than one limiting beliefs holding you back from somehow. It could be your confidence, which could be your degree of self-worthiness or self-esteem, which could be its identity as a skinny person ... or devils that only may be because you do not know the proper way to train to build muscle naturally!
Most likely, a combination of things.
Without But that's why I'm giving "the development of the right mentality" so much attention at first.
Without the right to think that you can complete up wasting years of your time (if you last that long) trying to transform your body and your life, but not getting faster. Most people give up when they see any results. I do not want that to happen to you.
That said, the most important point of this section is as follows:
A Despite all his hard work and effort, if you still harbor negative and unconscious limiting beliefs about yourself, you will have a difficult time transforming your body and life. You will have a tendency to return to their old way of thinking and doing things.
You may meet with some success at first, but despite all conscious efforts you may find yourself unable to break past certain barriers or plateau.
You can also experience self-sabotage in the form of participation in negative habits that limit their success (such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, skipping workouts, eating like shit, etc) or other circumstances eg push yourself to the point of injury, slacking off or something similar.
Now most people already have the proper mindset can still make similar mistakes with your training. However, they quickly learn from them and make lifestyle changes appropriate.
Once these changes are going to succeed. The key is that I already had the right mindset for success. Therefore, understood exactly what to do to correct their mistakes. It's that awareness that makes all the difference!
On the other hand, if you have a limitation and subconscious negative beliefs as I did, this self-sabotage can be a repetitive cycle, low it seems you can not break despite all his hard work and effort.
This can continue indefinitely, until you have taken appropriate measures to eliminate and / Or change the negative and limiting beliefs that are deeply entrenched in your subconscious mind.
When you lack the right mentality that can be very difficult to succeed in anything in life. Luckily for us, we can always change our mind by reprogramming our subconscious techniques appropriate!
That's exactly what we will discuss in Part III of harnessing the power of your subconscious mind.
.... Continue!
