Pros and cons of helmet use
Depending on your age, you may be able to recall bicycling often without thinking always wear a helmet. In fact, not even remember if it had hooves when I was young! Over the years we have become very familiar with the real dangers of riding a bicycle without a helmet and, in many jurisdictions is one law for anyone under 18 to wear when riding a bicycle. This is for the very good reason as studies have shown that helmet use can reduce the risk a head injury if you happen to enter a bicycle accident.
It's a simple thing, the use of bicycle helmets, but often many people just do not think Strap on a helmet. While you may think you are a competent user and will not get into an accident, the truth is that if you ride frequency is stopped possibility of entering into an accident at some point in time.
The implications of getting into an accident without a helmet on that are not good. Many people have suffered severe brain damage not to use one. Even if you feel safe riding a bike, what happens if you were beaten from behind or you hit a pothole you did not see? Something as this could cause you to lose balance and fall to the ground. If your head would hit the pavement unprotected, there is a good chance that you could suffer damage brain. This injury may be a concussion or something more severe limits their ability to walk, speak and live independently. It seems silly to think that the fact bicycle helmets are not always "cool" that people would risk losing their jobs and their freedom, just to travel with the wind blowing through of her hair.
