BMX Bikes - The movie ET and the Olympics
During my growing up years I've always wanted a BMX. I asked one of these two wonders wheel for every Christmas and birthday all. Unfortunately my family was not particularly good position and had to settle for a second hand, black, re painted 5 teams racing bikes.
Please do not get me wrong, I loved it and turned it into a treasure, but I still could not stop coveting a bright new BMX! That said, after watching the film ET in the early 80s I also believed that if I had a BMX bike that I would able to fly over my house on it! Years later, sailing on the houses in the game was of little consolation!
Obviously, during those days, The BMX everything was new and on Christmas morning in the streets seemed to be full of kids zooming up and down sidewalks, which were covered with oil origin and ramps indeed often dangerous in their new bikes, most of whom were the phenomena that would become BMX.
Weirdly enough, even tricks with many of these bikes are capable of doing, none of them ever did fly over the house, and even Mad Jimmy from number 14 and the boy could do he did try!
Thirty years later on or not and despite BMX bikes can not fly yet are still very fresh and are more popular than ever. For the first time in its history in 2008 became a successful part of the Olympic Games in Beijing.
During the Olympic Games in China - year 2008, racing was the only discipline of BMX to participate, but with the growing popularity of sport in general, is only a matter of time before Freestyle included too.
Flatland BMX Riding is another driving style that is growing in popularity and as with other forms of discipline requires a great BMX ability to dominate.
With a lot of different styles within the sport, it is perhaps not surprising to find that there are many, many different models of BMX bike. Each discipline is so different that usually requires a bike built specifically for that purpose, with different weights and designs in general to meet not only discipline but also the individual participants.
Well known particular bike riders get done not only with its brand name, but often with their own specifications too.
If you have a lot of variety and choice there should not be an obstacle to get hold of the BMX bike you want, either for yourself or for a family to unwrap on Christmas morning at full speed once again walk the streets, thrilled to bits with his new BMX.
