Ready, Set, Go! With BMX Racing
BMX racing is a fun sport for young people. For children, the bike must have the basic 20-inch wheels. Riders under age six can use any type of bike you have, although not a true BMX freestyle bike. These people might still be little biking with wheels as small as 12-inches. Some even have racetracks large wheel bike.
A mountain bike or cruiser wheels 24 inches or 26 inches, could be right, too, but check in advance with your local track for advice. Many tracks will let the mountain bike race in the cruiser class.
Whichever bike you use must be equipped in this way. Remove all reflectors. Remove the kickstand and chain guard to prevent injury in an accident.
The bike should have pads on the top tube, stem and transom. Most BMX freestyle bike already have these pills. If the bike does not have them, adding this safety feature will cost about $ 5.
The bicycle must have at least one brake work. A brake pedal is fine if that's all the bike has. The bike should be in safe working order.
