There is so much talk about cars getting more and more powerful. And most of this talk is about higher acceleration and a higher top speed. One would think that the only thing that one needs to do to get from one place to another is to start the car and go faster and faster till we arrive at the final destination. The problem with that is we would indeed arrive at the final destination but we would not be able to get off unless the car has great brakes to make a quick stop from all the speed that the car has gathered. After all both at the start and at the end of the journey the car should be standing still.

The brake rotor is that part of the wheel that the brake pad rubs against to stop the car. There is a lot of heat generated when the car is stopped using this friction force. You should have brake rotors that can withstand the heat and dissipate it quickly. Poor quality rotors are likely to crack and can cause a serious problem.
