India has a warm and humid climate, which sees temperatures in summer, reaching up to 400 degrees Celsius during the day! With such high temperatures is required the body to lose too much water, leading to dehydration.

How I dehydrate summer?

Summer, it means that the sun rises with all guns blazing! With temperatures in the high jump, sweat from the body to regulate its beings temperature and higher temperatures means more sweat which directly translates to a loss of more water from the body! Not only that, the hot air around us in the summer also robs the water of our body. Now add urination and water is lost from the lungs as water vapor and what remains is very little water in body! In addition, the exercise also contributes to water your body loses during the summer.

Know your thirst!

Did you know every time you feel thirsty, your body is already dehydrated 2%! The human body is about 60-70% water depending on their size, our brain is approximately 80% water and our blood is about 90% water! Now you do the math and find out why our bodies need water constantly. bodily actions such as sweat, urine and tears depleted water body and the beginning of summer, the body begins to lose water fast! Replenishment of water loss is necessary to prevent dehydration.

Drinking Water, drinking lots of water waterkeeps your body hydrated. Moreover, hot summers in India make our bodies sweat much to regulate the internal temperature, this leads to loss of body water. Water is also lost through the urine of our bodies, according to research demonstrated we should drink enough water to produce about 1.5 liters of urine in a day.

To replace this water loss, an adult should drink at least 2 liters of water every day. Our kidneys can process up to 15 liters of water every day, though experts recommend drinking up to 4 liters a day during the summer to combat heat and replace the water lost through excessive sweating!

Eat fruit! Fruits with high water content are the best way to avoid being dehydrated this summer! Fruits such as watermelon and cucumber are great to overcome the thirst, if not in the mood to drink unflavored water.

Believe it or not, but large, Heavy and delicious melon is composed of 92% water and 6% simple sugars are found in all fruits! Regularly eating fruit as you keep of hydrated and healthy summer.

Eating foods with high water content "Come summer and you should stick to home cooked food to prevent dehydration. Why? For more than 30% of the water required by our body is present in the foods we eat! Eating soup, tofu , Eggs and sprouts, along with vegetables such as spinach, cabbage (red and green), tomatoes, eggplant, cauliflower, add water to our diet. Similarly most dairy and meat products like chicken, beef, fish and pork with baked beans are high in water content and if included in our daily diet we can provide enough water to avoid dehydration this summer!

Avoid alcohol this summer - If you are planning on staying hydrated this summer, do not go near alcohol anywhere. Why? Because alcohol acts as a diuretic, which means an increase in frequency of urination through which the body loses more water than it takes! Alcohol intake stops the body's production of antidiuretic hormone, which explains the need the body to urinate frequently! In addition, the body requires 8 ounces of water to get the only one ounce of alcohol, dehydration very quickly.
