The 1998 Ford Ranger
The Ford Ranger 1998 is a trucks on the best selling compact pickup in history. Beyond that, the entire line of Rangers since its inception in 1984 has been the number one compact car ever. The basic model comes with a regular cab or extended. Interior Features include an XL virtually no power accessories, possibly from CA, and AM / FM stereo system. XLT trim levels are the means of accessories to advance package offered as windows and locks. Other features include optional XLTs CD / Cassette player, AC, and 4 or 2 wheels.
FX4 models are highly respected all-terrain vehicles. They are made with better suspension parts and a body high clearance for better off-road situations. The off-road package comes with a nice interior with a plethora of interior options, more tissue material and different body colors and paint designs. Sport models were designed for performance street driving better and more like a sedan than a truck.
The 1998 Ford Ranger comes with a standard 2.5 liter 4-cylinder. Other available engines are 3.0 liter V6 and V6 of 4.0 liters. There are 5-speed manual or automatic 4-speed transmission equipped in these pills. The bigger V6 is standard on both Sport and FX4 models. Ford also updated the four-wheel drive system to automatically lock the cap for drivers, allowing them to stay in their trucks, while switching between 2 and 4 wheel drive.
The main competitors of the Ranger is the Chevy S-10 and Toyota Tacoma. Each has its own stresses and are relatively similar in the category of MPG. As for price refers to the Ranger is the lowest in the class and is possibly one of the reasons why it is the most popular.
