Lifetime Commitment to Health and Fitness Avoid Heart Disease
Physical lifetime is a commitment. It is the belief that keeping our minds and bodies healthy is more than a noble idea, but requires specific actions to be taken on a regular basis. It is the conscious decision to be implemented to ensure our goal in life. Lifetime health and fitness is a commitment to a lifestyle change to live a happier and healthier.
Since the turn of the century life expectancy in the United States has increased significantly from age 47 in 1900 to 77.3 years at the turn of the century. While the rapid development of new technology health and medicine can be credited with most of the increases, lack of commitment to the life of fitness means that most of these people do not have a style happy and healthy life.
Sadly, 33 percent of high school students across the country not participating in the recommended amount of health activities for life and how physical as outlined by the Surgeon General and the President's Council on Physical Fitness. This lack of activity in fitness programs often leads to adulthood, where the number of people without a lifetime and increases exercise program.
According to a report of fitness for life by the National Institute on Aging, only 58 percent of the U.S. population is engaged in a fitness program that involves a lifetime leisure activity vigorous and of those people, only 26 percent do so three or more times per week as part of their fitness program for life.
So how life and an exercise fitness program to improve their quality of life?
The Centers for Disease Control lists the following five causes of death in the United States annually.
* Heart disease: 696,947 deaths
* Cancer: 557,271 deaths
* Career: 162 672 deaths
* Chronic respiratory lower: 124 816 deaths
* Accidents (unintentional injuries): 106,742 deaths
With the exception of accidental deaths, all other forms of death could have been avoided or delayed with a lifetime health program that includes fitness and exercise, a healthy diet and no smoking.
When lifelong health and fitness program includes a diet low in cholesterol, a significant reduction in the accumulation of fatty deposits called Note plaque in the arteries. If too much plaque builds up in arteries, the arteries become clogged, reducing the amount of blood and oxygen circulating in the coronary arteries, and may ultimately lead to a heart attack or stroke.
A program of life of physical fitness should not include cigarette smoking. Smoking been linked to cancer, chronic respiratory problems, and cancer.
