I had the previous model of B & D for over 12 years. Still I have it for parts. This machine is designed for something a little different, but it performs well. It now has a padded handle and the upper floor is a little higher. I do not like the larger deck, but now the grass is not stipulated in the neighborhood that used to be there he did a little cleaning in the old model. I've never not raking up clippings. My neighbor lets others cut their grass all the time and this last time that left two inches of clippings in your yard. She had to have some other rake and cut two days later only for the disorder before he killed his entire yard.

Now I hope this machine works as long as the other one was well worth the price I paid. My dad came to $ 17 per year of use. I was getting tired of 1) my mower Petrol giving me problems and 2) having to determine what the problem was (the candle? clogged? bad gas?). So I decided to buy an electric mower. Having read dozens of comments, and not wanting to replace the battery every two years with a string trimmer, I picked up the MM1800 in a local store and brick mortar.
I've had this mower for 3 weeks. Plain and simple, I love it.
Assembly was very easy, about 10 minutes to fix the handle. Comes with padded handle grips already attached (but not shown), so your hands do not rub against the bare metal. It has a lever for simultaneous height adjustment of the four wheels. I like to mulch when I mow the lawn, so do not use the bag to catch the clippings. You need a cable 100 'to cut with ease, I I am fortunate to have outlets on 3 sides of my house, so it reaches the outer edges of my 1/4-acre lot with a lot of cable to spare.
Mowing with a cable that will take a little practice at first. Now have a closer pattern where I cut the lawn at the home first and then cut away from him, keeping the cord between the house and the mower. I have no serious problem with energy, the mower is a bit slower on thicker, higher grass, but so did my gas mower. The noise level is not as quiet as I thought it would be, but is not as strong as the gas mower (for me, it sounds as my leaf blower, but a bit muffled). First electric mower ... a great first impression
I just bought my first house and the yard was finally long enough to need a break this weekend.
We are quite modest, perhaps 1 / 4 acre backyard and had almost no grass due to the way it was landscaped. I decided that it needed a large self-propelled lawn mower, and originally by perhaps get a reel mower before I decided that the maintenance shaped blade would be too much of a hassle.
I did a little research and found that the MM875 received excellent reviews here on Amazon. This one, the MM1800, had no education, but all I see is exactly the same but with a slightly narrower diameter cutting.
Terms set Lowes, then made another trip back after realizing that my cable length was only 25 and not hard enough for me.
The mower is actually very light and easy to install in about 5 minutes. Its implementation is as easy as pulling the lever against the handle, which I love, because growth, my dad's lawn mower 50 is pulled to start it.
The mower is very easy to push, and has a height adjustable handle different preferences. The adjustment cutting height is also very well done, where you just have to move a single lever in one of the rear wheels and deals with the cutter set.
I use the cutter on how to compost and is not seen lots of cuts elsewhere, were very, very fine and uniformly distributed. I have not tried the bag yet.
The only possible negative that can bring up after this first cut is the cable, which is something that should have gone in the purchase of this mower to know. I always used lawn two times around a circle, then cut a diagonal toward the center, then it follows that diagonal back and forth each direction. With cable, This technique left me having to stop and adjust the cable from a lot near the end of my mowing. In the future, I will make two laps and then just start at one end (Either horizontal or diagonal) and gradually cut away from the exit.
Pros:
No need for gas, and you take the battery out
Still, compared with most gas mowers
Easy to push, comfortable to hold, very little vibration in the handle
Easy to adjust the cutting height
Easy and start turning
Cons:
Cable can get in the way if you do not plan your cutting pattern
EDIT: Now I've had the mower few months and used it 10 or more times, and really I have no complaints yet. All I can add is possible is that I have found that the "plug" for when you by payment in lieu of bags can get a significant amount of grass buildup in it compared to some other mowers I've used, but I do not see it as a problem at all.
