These three are the Preakness, the Belmont Stakes and Kentucky Derby, known as the Thoroughbred Triple Crown. The three Triple Crown races are run on a flat dirt road.

The horses involved in these races tend to pace for much of the race. Save final energy arising from the end, the finish line! There are even some horses are so incredibly fast that arise from start to finish, never leaving for a second. And lead and just start winning.

Many viewers of these races do not realize is that this is only one type of thoroughbred horse racing. Still, these are the most popular however. Not that other types of careers Thoroughbred horses are not popular, because they are. A variation of thoroughbred racing is racing turf. The difference is that these breeds thoroughbreds and other breeds is that run on grass instead of dirt, though everything else in racing remains the same.

Thoroughbred such as those used in the races can reach forty miles an hour. While running this fasting are still able to be flexible, turn quickly and without much effort to change the rhythm. There is power in the hindquarters of thoroughbred horses which is why for its speed and accuracy.
