Road Bike Cassette
You can succeed too!
I grew up in a middle income family where money was a source of constant concern and argument. My parents were very poor money managers, and consequently spent much of their time under extreme financial stress. Like most people, never taught how to manage money, so when I had what happened until they were out of control and deeply in debt.
Since happiness is a result direct level of control you have in your life, you can imagine the stress level in a house that was in perpetual financial crisis.
Before going further, I make clear that this is not in any way a condemnation of my parents, whom I love very much. I loved and worked hard to support my sister, brothers and me. They just raised in a way that was typical of the post-depression. Money was never discussed, except to lament how little they had.
The work was described to me something like all "hate" and there was never any discussion of the possibilities offered by the world. The attitude was that he could control his fate beyond decide whether to drive a truck or wait on tables. My parents and friends were much bowling alley boardroom.
Success seemed reserved personalities on television, and they all seemed like a banker at heart is a wonderful life. The rich were those who had sold their soul for money and want to throw into the street to continue.
This would probably be a more interesting story if I said that I was inspired by despair my parents and determined to not be in that situation. That's partially true. Since money was a problem, I developed a kind of attitude of "hippie" that the Money was not important and the desire for material possessions "was bourgeoisie. In short, I had no idea about money too.
Remember, this was the early and mid 1970s. I bought into the idea that I would not be rich, but unfortunately I did not buy in my work. My training in martial arts gave me a great start for my self-growth. I decided to teach martial arts for a living. However, I had fantasies about being rich, as a result of my teaching.
I loved teaching and coaching and, as a martial artist, who was granted a level of respect and inclusion that was very satisfactory for a 18-year-old. As had been programmed to believe that financial success was beyond my control, I chose instead to control at least how I spent my day. I figured if I was not going to do no money, I might as well have fun. I chose quality of life on the financial viability, which, as we now know, is short-term gain for long-Pain term.
Since classes are at night, I slept as late as I wanted each day and then train all day before going to the karate school around 5 pm to teach. It was like being a surf bum in a gi (karate uniform). I was actually a karate athlete and it was fun for a while.
It was not until I opened my school, almost ten years later, I began to imagine that I could be successful. I started teaching private lessons to a doctor, Richard Phares, as I said. Dr. Phares had been a millionaire for over 15 years, when I started training three times a week. He was a eccentric and loved to sit and talk to me about their views on the world, which included the process of wealth creation. No one discussed these issues with me before. At the time, I was riding my bike ten-speed to school because he could not afford a car. He was driving his big car, and was the first Mercedes I had ever been in. It was then that he began to change my mind and my vision of the future began to expand.
Dr. Phares exposed me to a lifestyle of wealth and affluence that he had never dreamed. At that time, I was getting a lot of local press because of my success with the U.S. kickboxing team in Europe, and I had a TV show so I was very high profile. I was the star of the local karate. Although I had no money, was an athlete who was out on television every week. I guess that made up my lack of net worth. Dr. Phares seemed to enjoy introducing me to his associates as his personal trainer, the world champion black belt. "
We met with his rich friends and went home a million dollars for barbecues with his family. People seemed normal to me, not heartless villains treasuring money. The difference was that they openly discussed business and corporate strategies. They donated to charities and volunteered in the community.
This exhibition began to reprogram my thinking in terms of money and it really was my potential. Until then, I never thought of that life, because I had never seen or experienced. It is difficult to create a taste for something you have never seen or felt.
It was also about this time a friend of mine came to my office and said, "Did you want? It's boring. "I threw a seminar of six audio cassettes by Roger Dawson called" power. "That was the first of what should be for now thousands of audio and video programs that I learn. Being taught business methods and how to succeed through these audio programs while at the same time broaden my perspective on the world through Dr. Phares accelerated my reprogramming and created a strong desire to grow as a person, a teacher and a businessman.
I say this because it was very powerful for me, I can only hope that is so powerful for you. In order to change your outer world, you must change your inner world. I had to change my schedule and references to begin the process of changing my reality.
By going to the studio and finding people who have been there already, I began to destroy my lack of confidence. I learned to speak, to sell, to hold a conversation, negotiate and succeed.
I began to realize I was 100 percent responsible for achieving the desired level of success. I realized that although Dr. Phares could show me how to live the rich, and could Brian Tracy teach me how to get there, only I could make it happen. If it's up to me became my mantra.
I started developing a prosperity consciousness. "This is a state of mind, or consciousness, of the great possibilities offered by the world. You become much more aware of potential for great prosperity. In this context, the world becomes a huge menu of opportunities. These opportunities have always been there, but I could not see before. Growing up my programming leads me to "poverty consciousness, mentality who always fights for money and privileges." We can not afford "was the mantra of my parents.
I began to realize that it would be a long, hard and nobody was going to do for me. As daunting a task it was, I also realized that, for the first time, I was talking to myself as though it actually could happen. And to think I could break the chains of mediocrity and become a success was so radical a thought that shot through me.
Once I let the idea that I could be a success, and then followed with the conscious decision to go for it, was like a switch turns on, and it changed my life. My outside world immediately began to evolve in a world of opportunities that I had not seen before. It was as if he had been seeing the world in black and white, and suddenly the color change was turned. This is the power to make the decision to be a success and then you take all responsibility for achieving it.
