The San Marcos area is considered the oldest continuously inhabited site in the northern hemisphere, although the descendants of the current residents Day celebration in San Marcos, and named the river in his honor. Both World Wonder and Aquarena Springs are popular tourist attractions and visitors Aquarena Springs you can rent a glass bottom boats for trips around town on the River San Marcos.
The tourism industry has become an important industry in San Marcos and the river, and is adorned with a picturesque and exuberant. Wonder of the World, which is a cave formed by the earthquake and Park wildlife with an observation tower and petting zoo, open daily for visitors, with longer hours in summer.
Another well known attraction San Marcos is San Marcos Outlet Mall, which is on Interstate 35, and includes hotels, restaurants, spas, Marcos is a picturesque town, and the San Marcos River is surrounded by parklands and trails, and parks and stately homes. With so many services, including the University of San Marcos is a great place to visit, make life or the establishment and start a family, or even withdrawn, so head south along Interstate 35 and come to San Marcos!
