Allenhurst

The Allen family farm was purchased in 1895, and the area of 0.028 square miles land "Allenhurst" was formed. Allenhurst has become one of the richest people on the coast of New Jersey. The great Victoria and Tudor style houses and as the small town atmosphere Allenhurst neighborhood today are a desirable place to live and visit. The picturesque village has small shops, a bakery and good winning restaurants, while offering a lake near the fishing and canoeing. A popular spot is the Allenhurst Beach Club. Located at the end of Corlies Road, the club has beautiful pools and a restaurant open during the summer.

Asbury Park

Incorporated as "Avon-by-the-Sea" on March 23, 1900, this is a beautiful coastal city great place to swim and relax in the summer sun. Belmar

Bradley Beach

Founded in 1893, Bradley Beach is an ocean playground with many recreational options including: a promenade and the beautiful beach, miniature golf, summer concerts and dances. This small town has an unusually large number of restaurants and clubs. In 1679, legend has it that Captain Kidd anchored his vessel outside what is now Sylvan Lake and buried his treasure between two trees in today's Brinley Avenue. Brielle

Present days Brielle was founded in 1664 and in recent years Brielle 1800 started to become a summer resort, where houses and hotels were built along the Manasquan River. In 1881 a group of investors formed the Association Brielle Land. Interestingly, the name derives from a city in Holland Brielle as the area recalled the founding of the coastal cities of northern Europe Sea and English Channel. With no ocean view, Brielle is well known to many recreational opportunities such as fishing, a nationally recognized golf course and marinas in his "that ships rental business and host many fisheries.

Eatontown

A little less than six square kilometers with a population of about 14,000 people, Eatontown is one of the largest cities on the coast of Jersey. It is long and intricate story began in 1670 when Thomas Eaton, a Quaker, came from Shrewsbury to develop this new land. In 1873 the Legislature of the State of New Jersey, made the official name of Eatontown. Due to its central location, became a field Eatontown and a communications center during the war. The camp was renamed after Alfred Vail in honor of the New Jersey inventor who helped develop the Morse telegraph. Former Indian roads are a meeting point of modern travel and the Monmouth Mall, built in 1959 on an old farm, is the center of the city. The war made it necessary to train a large number of telegraph and staff of other communications.

Interlaken

Founded in 1888, Interlaken was originally a farm of 364 acres. In 1890, the Land Interlaken Development Company was created and plans for a residential community began. Throughout its history, Interlaken still remains what it is today - A residential community of approximately 400 families. Many of the existing houses were built in the early to mid 1900's by artists, painters, sculptors and writers who found idyllic community, between the lakes, being the perfect setting for creative spirits. Surrounded by Deal Lake, within walking distance to beaches, shops and transport, Interlaken remains an idyllic residential community.

Lake Como

First settled in 1693, the municipality of Lake Como, just south of Belmar, was formally established in 1924. One of the first settlers was Jeremiah Newman who began his life as a farmer. When people began flocking to the city Jeremiah the sea began to sell parcels of his farm for $ 1 an acre. Lake Como Today beachfront has a thriving that offers a walking, shopping, boating and many restaurants.

Little Silver

Little Silver is said to have got its name from a village in Devonshire England. Founded in 1667, early settlers were farmers, fishermen and traders. The separation of Shrewsbury in 1923, Little Silver today is a residential community that has the River boat, public tennis courts, beautiful parks and the Postal Museum. A historic site is The Parker House has over 350 years old.

Loch Arbour Village

Lined with majestic trees and beautiful Victorian homes, Loch Arbour is the only town, and the smallest town in Monmouth County. That covers just two blocks wide and five blocks long, Thomas White bought the land in 1820 Corlies Jacob. Loch Arbour was incorporated in 1957 and was previously part of Ocean Township. Bordered by the lake and try Allenhurst, Loch Arbour's name comes from "lake" which means "lake" and "Arbour" which means "Trees." Long Branch

Monmouth Beach

Dating from 1668, Monmouth Beach was first purchased by Eliakim Wardell. In 1842, Henry Wardell great grandson of the lots sold to the U.S. Life Saving Service and in 1865 sold the remainder to Arthur V. Conover. Mr. Conover and other investors founded the Association of Monmouth Beach in 1871. waterfront homes were built and the community began to thrive. Many of the 19th century original Victorian houses still exist alongside new contemporary properties Monmouth making an idyllic beach seaside resort.

Neptune Township

Incorporated in October 1881, Neptune is named after the Roman god of the sea. During the last decade, Neptune has grown significantly in residential, commercial and technological advances. A prestigious addition has been the Jersey Shore Medical Center, a subsidiary of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Highlights the Jumping Brook Township Golf Course, great restaurants, Shark River Park (Shark River Hills), with a walking trail, BBQ areas and picnic tables, and the historic town of Ocean Grove. Celebrities Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito spent their childhood years as friends in Neptune.

Ocean Grove

Founded in 1869, Ocean Grove is a National Historic District. Founded by Bishop Francis Asbury, Ocean Grove (Cape May's sister) has the largest number of Victorian homes in the nation and currently Methodist traditions maintained. The Great Auditorium was built in 1875 and remains host to Sunday worship services and many concerts during the summer. The shops were the first structures in Ocean Grove and 114 tents today still provide a summer residence for the families of many of them descendants of original settlers Ocean Grove. The beautiful beach, boardwalk, picturesque town, many shops and restaurants are Ocean Grove an unforgettable place to live and visit.

Ocean Township

In Waretown of Brookville, Ocean Township is a diverse mix of natural beauty, history and recreational opportunities and a variety of retail locations, including Mall Square overlooking the sea. With approximately 7400 inhabitants and covers 21 square miles of ocean county is one of the largest municipalities in Monmouth County.

Oceanport

Located between Red Bank and West Longbranch, Oceanport has a population of approximately 6,000. Oceanport is a quiet residential community most famous for Monmouth Park Racetrack. Racing at Monmouth Park began in 1870 and was an immediate success. In 1893 he was forced to close due to legislation that would prevent the game in New Jersey. Amory Haskell of Red Bank was able to gain support in 1939 to legalize the "bet" in New Jersey, once again and re-construction track began. Like many cities in Jersey Shore, Point Pleasant has a rich history. Quaker settlers arrived in the 1700s and early 1800s farmers began to rent rooms to visitors. In the 1870 Sea Captain John Arnold bought land and built a road to the ocean - yet now known as Arnold Avenue. In 1886, the town of Point Pleasant was established. In late 1920 the promenade was reinforced by Orlo Jenkinson who built a swimming pool and fun flag. Today, Jenkinson remains a hot spot for entertainment. Point Pleasant is a summer Playland with shopping, entertainment, live music and many restaurants.

Red Bank

Shrewsbury

Founded in 1667 by English settlers, and incorporated as a city in 1926, Shrewsbury is a residential community that encompasses approximately 2.3 square miles with a population of approximately 3,600. There was a time Shrewsbury was the largest municipality in New Jersey that runs from the river south until Navesink Little Egg Harbour. Many historic sites are Shrewsbury include: Christ Episcopal Church, Friends Meetinghouse, Allen House, and House Wardell.
