How I can make a small 50cc engine quiet?
i saw someone put your socks and cans to muffle the sound what else anything I can do? I get a bike with a small gasoline engine. They are illegal here. I was thinking .... i can weld a small tube of escape for exhaust gas and have resulted in a small tank of oil? thus, the exhaust gas bubbles rise to the surface and the engine will be very quiet right? and I can have a bond so little oil is usually in the exhaust pipe will this work? Why or why not? i do not mind if I lose a little power
NO! That will not work !!!...... not illegal? ... Where are you? 1000 ESCAPE OF GAS AND DEGREE + FLAMES IN AN OIL TANK FIRE = --- MIX THAT WITH THE FUEL TANK AND CARB = !!!!!!!..... explosion not wise at all !!!!!! I'm a factory trained Harley & Custom Bike Builder with 20 years experience. The reason your idea will not work is that, because the physics of how engines work, there is actually a slight "vacuum" (reversal of sound waves) during the exhaust stroke can hope for oil back into the engine. It is the engine you are referring to a 2 stroke or 4 stroke? - And do not have ANY type of silencer?? Depending on the type of engine you are talking, There are many ways to silence the exhaust note. Your best bet would be to go to a bike shop and tell them what dirt bike and the engine is working with and tell I want you to want to do. The dirt bike on the secondary market has dozens of different types of mufflers that can mufflers universal adpater to almost nothing.
