Description: The Irish Red and White Setter is sporty, instead of democracy, with a beautiful body, powerful and strong. This dog has a broad head, which is in proportion to body. This dog has a flat square muzzle and clean. The eye color is brown, hazel or dark colored, almond-shaped eyes that are slightly prominent. The ears are set well back and are level of the eye, very close to the head. This race has a scissors bite. The neck is of good size for the body, and is muscular and lean. It has a deep chest and good legs tight that your feet are well feathered. The Irish Red and White Setter tail is strong and well feathered. Height is 24 to 26 dogs and 22-24 inches in bitches with weight dogs and bitches 50-75 pounds. The dog's coat is fine, with a pen light and motion is allowed, but never curly. Coat colors are distinctly colored with base color on the way out and blocks and red, mottled or stained. Check with the breeder and local standards for the understanding of colors allowed.
History: The original Irish Setter was red and white with a solid red Irish Setter, being exceptionally rare. In 1850, the Irish setter red began to gain in popularity, while the red and white Irish setter decreased in number. The breed almost became extinct. In 1920, attempts were made to revive the race, for the Irish Noble cleric North Houston, hence the breed survived in small quantities, and since 1970, there was a resurgence of the race, and it is from here that we see Current race. This strain was sent to England to increase their number in 1980. Red and White Irish Setter was first recognized by the AKC in 2006.
Temperament: This dog is energetic, smart, high spirit and full of energy. This dog is not good at security, but get along well with pets and children. Without the right direction, this breed can be very nervous, which require a lot of mental and physical exercise a day, or can become destructive and difficult to handle. The Irish Red and White Setter is sensitive to the tone of voice, and does not respond to harsh discipline. Preparation: An Irish setter Red and White requires daily brushing to keep their coats in good condition. Extra brushing is necessary when the coach was pouring. This dog is an average shedder.
