I bought this for my 5 year old son who has a big head (hats for men and size) and at the same time was a little too big which quickly became in it. He loved the entire town and that seems to offer good protection for him. The only thing that could have added the shield and is simply for the "Cool" look like my son tells me.
I give this high and I recommend it.

Very well made, lightweight helmet. Good to ride bmx. Very comfortable. My children said that the helmet fits better than more expensive Bell. I just wish it came with a buckle system instead of a quick release and wish it was matte black to hide all the scratches. Otherwise a lot for trying to get into the budget.
