Bike Road Caliper
unusually custom road bike?
hello people I'm looking to get a road bike, something like a Carrera Virago or Beat or a Trek Madone (or similar) .. But I'm not very fond of fine race tires and was wondering if I could adapt the mountain bike wheels with slick tires in place (as the Maxxis Hookworm 2.5 "). I also want to find a way to change the brake system of a clamp configuration V to a set of disc brakes, or just finding a road bike with a disc brake setup available. I know that disc brakes have nothing to do on a real road bike, but I want to give it a try .. Thanks people
You may want to try asking this in the bike section, but ... I would recommend forgetting the "Traditional" road bikes and watch a cyclocross bike. These are designed to go offroad bike normal road, are made for larger tires, and sometimes have stock disc brakes. traditional road bike tires can be larger than thin, most have a maximum of 28 mm wide (23 is in the majority of shares, and 19 for motorcycles for the race) but will not be created for disc brakes. The brakes have to fork intergral accessories, in addition to special schools (who probably knew that part already) As for the 'cross bike, sounds like up your alley.
