Garage Organizers - simple or complex
Garage organizers have evolved over time. What once began as perhaps only a simple platform to end of the garage has become a big industry. Gone are the days easier. Now we have options. As the American lifestyle has become more and more affluent, and people are living with more and more products and services that make life easier and more enjoyable, it also faces more and more choices about the products to include in their lives.
When I was young, I lived with my grandparents for a while. I have many memories of that year. His house was large and had lots of places to explore and enjoy. caches were abundant and have never been to a loss of things to do. But as great as house was, it was a garage and garden shed to keep the magic for me, now that's 30 years later. The garden shed smelled of cut grass and gasoline. Bicycles and other miscellaneous items remained out there, and I thought that all good things come from that shed. I remember seeing my grandfather do and do things simple shed outside that most people today do not even try. If something broke, fix it. If something had to be done, he did. It was a time different with a different mindset about how to do things.
My grandfather probably never even thought about as something that garage organizers deliberately purchase plan for the garage. For him, it was enough to hang just a simple platform or two. I remember there were 2x4s that protrude from the poles to ladders and extension cords. Pretty simple stuff. So now we're in the 21st century, we no longer content with such things. Now we have more. And I'm not saying that is a bad thing. The options are good, and certainly they have when it comes to garage organizers.
There are a variety of products available to the organization your garage that just might impress you. Specialty racks and boxes can store almost anything with care and with purpose. All sports balls, skis and snowboards, bicycles and helmets, skates and skateboards, you can now go in your special place. Some companies only make racks for storing fishing rods and other equipment. Then there are the cabinets. If you want plastic, wood or metal, are all available in many colors, configurations and prices. Modular storage cabinets are popular because they can be tailored to each unique space.
Of all the garage organizers by there, probably my favorite is the overhead storage systems. These come in various configurations, but are basically containers that are placed on racks that are installed on the roof. There is so much unused space that it really does not keep the areas below where there is so much going on, no mess.
Of course you can choose to ignore simple, simple wooden racks, but no longer have to. You can get so smart and involved with garage organizers as your budget and imagination permits. Go for it!
