helmets and more helmets?
I am a stationary bike, and my friends and I usually ride 20 + miles on a trail near my area and unlike other fixed riders I feel is rather a way typical cyclest various speeds, for example, im getting automatic petals, shoes and boots, I have a wedge in the back of the chair full of emergency tools and patches, have a pump on the side of my bike, 2 bottles with 2 cages, the list goes on, however, my friends are more typical of the drivers fixed my package that I think looks weird, can only carry water bottles in a backpack, and think that helmets make you look stupid but I get a helmet anyway for long trips? I have another friend who wear a helmet so do not be so bad?
I have three helmets broken in 5 years. Each one of the impacts would have killed me or caused severe brain damage. Helmets quality looks good, but given the choice I'd rather look stupid than end too bad to tie my own shoes. In addition, helmets direct the cool air more efficiently than no helmet at all, it really feels more comfortable.
