Giro Remedy Mountain

Why moving cyclists do not wear a helmet?
I use to mountain biking and xc much single-hull I have a remedy Giro. Now my bike to work, which is a journey four miles. I've been using a face full helmet.I feel safer wearing it on horseback through the street. I to be on the streets is as dangerous as walking down a Mountain Trail. Actually a face plant on the pavement probably hurt more than if you step on a path. Do you think is necessary for me to wear a full face helmet or should I buy a regular as the Giro Hex? IMO half bicycle helmets do not make you look good. For me it really does otherwise. (Cool)
Most bicycle injuries are very low speed. Usually there is enough time to avoid damaging the face. However, not always. My wife got crushed cheekbone, but the repair was not all bad. low speed makes clean break. But this is really a good question. Many cyclists still do not use the helmet. One aspect may be that cyclists not wearing helmets and had available for most of the bike's history. Even high-speed drivers Not use it until recently. I get a normal quality bike helmet high. I can hear, turning his head with ease, and to avoid neck fatigue. But I'm waiting a tremendous about of protection.
