Men Bike Fenders
I know my bike is old, but how many years?
I'm trying to figure out how old is my bike. I took a family of English about 12 years. It says "Howell" in the frame, has a "SMP" seat, and had some "Michelin" tires I had the Michelin man on the side walls. The brakes are actuated by rod, which means no cables, but a series of metal rods that eventually take the a U-shaped clamp pads against the edges. These brakes are on the front and back. It is a sweet single speed and a British Racing Green, with the front and fenders later. The family said it had bought the bike when I lived in England and thought it was for the 1940 -50 's, but was not sure. Therefore, any idea what year this bike is?
I think your bike was made by Jane HOWELL was born in 1915 in Wales was well know in the sport since 1940 as a constructor bicycle wheel for the first time in someone else's shop for 18 years.
