How To Lube Your Mountain Bike

A mountain bike is great fun although it does require some maintenance. You should always lube your bike more or less 15 hours before riding, as quick jobs right before take off does not usually get everything lubricated. Some lube jobs will last for more trips, although things get loud or shifting gets sticky, it's time for lubricant.

Here is how to lube your bike:

1. Chain
Apply a generous amount of mountain bike lube to your chain as you move the pedals around backwards. It also helps to find a place to soothe your hands as the frame, while moving the pedals round and round. Make sure to be careful with the cranks and chain rings, since moving.

Deraileur 2. Frontal
In the front defaileur, lube the pivots. Use some lube everywhere you can see the movement by moving the shift lever.

3. Back deraileur
Like the front deraileur, lubrication of pivots.

4. Pedals
There are some types of clipless pedals is needed have the release mechanism lubricated. You should only lube this mechanism if you have this type of pedal.

5. Everything in motion
Pedal around, changing their gears, and bounce around your bike. If you hear anything squeak, there is a moving part that there should be lubricated immediately.

6. Wipe everything clean
Once has lubricated and cleaned it all around, simply clean all the reverse. Use a rag to remove all lubricants it uses, including all lubricants chain. Cleaning leave away the lubricant between the parties but clean away from all places where it is not necessary. This will prevent the bike from accumulating dirt while driving.
