The shoes will work with the tacos. Both are 2-bolt Shimano SPD system. Pedals come with the first set of studs, so you should be good to go. The two most popular systems for clipless pedals are Shimano SPD 2-bolt and the system Look 3 bolt system. These systems are used, even if the pedals do not search for or Shimano. Look is primarily a road thing - I've never seen used on a mountain bike. Pedal specs will tell you that the system they use. The specifications will also tell you shoes. Many supportive shoes, both the SPD and Mira systems - have 5 holes screws. HTH
