Tires Tubes Bike
Inner tubes for a Trek mountain bike?
I have a Trek 8000 bike police in a government auction. All you need is New tires and tubes. Tire size is 26 x 2.1 and I can get at Wal-Mart, but unlike the tubes are all I've seen before. The valve stem is half the size of a regular mother and has a locking type of thing where the air goes in. Wal-Mart only had the tubes should I'm regular drill the hole in the wheel for a regular tube or look elsewhere?
No, not drill. The type of valve is provided, there are two kinds friend Valve around, Shrader and Presta. You can spin the top and a screw, which is the part (as the cover) for a normal valve, containing the air safely. turn him loose, and then put the pump in the presta valve, flip the switch on the head, then pump. when you pump, flip back and take pump switch turned off. (DONE), Presta is found on more expensive bikes (no Wal-Mart trash) Just go to a bike shop, ask for a tire in size, but in loans. Pronounced "Press-tuh '(but fast) is a better type of valve, you can get a cheap adapter in your LBS (Local Bike Shop) (or REI) for a couple of dollars, or you can buy a beautiful and durable pump (Pay) with a gauge of 30-40 dollars. Not attempt to refuel at the petrol station that would be stupid. New, is 1600 w / o tax but the police add-ons, which is much more.
