Voltage Bike Short

Buell M2 Cyclone 97 problems battery?
I have a 1997 Buell Cyclone not hold a charge. I figured the battery was a somewhat outdated and most likely shot at replacing with a new brand of a harley. Having come fully charged worked very well for about 3 days but is once again dead. I know very little about the pricing mechanism for motorcycles (alternator or generator of the system?) And I'm not sure what the problem is. I've marked most of the short connections that would drain, but have found none. I suppose there must be some kind of voltage regulator, this could go wrong and prevent the battery from charging while driving? if so where it is on the bike and what it seems? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
its the battery is good, so the bike is doing is running out of battery power until it is finally dead. that takes the charging system or the stator and voltage regulator for battery charging. if your stator is grounded out, which usually occurs with age and heat, it will not charge the battery. regulator voltage sends the right amount of power to the battery and components, overcharges the battery. if the stator can sometimes burn and send surges peaks, or send a much voltage to the voltage regulator and will burn too. I suggest you take it to your dealer or any good store hd mc you can trust and make them vr test your stator and to know that one or both need to be replaced. And do not keep the battery and running dead, it will eventually lose its ability to maintain load. take it and put it in a magazine and get it charged, then keep a trickle charger on it while not in use. k good luck
